First, congratulations to my rock star friend Alison who is getting married tomorrow! Alison was one of the FIRST brides I ever worked with right after my own wedding earlier this year, so I’ve been anticipating her big day for a long time right along with her.
Doesn’t her husband look just like James Hetfield?
No sense in keeping any secrets anymore–Silver Bella starts tonight with a welcome snack/craft at 6:30. I want to get this post in real quick before I get ready to go because I am just sick of holding it in. I want to show some of the things I made to sell! I took most of these last night in my parents’ garage where I staged my booth last night (until 3:30 am). The photos from tomorrow will be fly.
These little packs of vintage pom poms…
…They really don’t make them this SOFT anymore! I want to fill up a bathtub with them and just roll around.
Dozens and dozens of these packs of vintage button cards…

…I think these cards are an often-overlooked source of vintage paper for papercrafting.

I made the packaging–it works like a matchbook.
I made so many of these wool felt packs! The felt is actually cut to the size I use to make the felt flowers, and each pack includes lots of complimentary colors.

I hand-polka-dotted a ton of felt for most of the packs. Kind of my pie in the sky fantasy is to get hired to design felt (and buttons!) and I could just get it all printed off this way.

I’m also excited to present these corsages for the first time. After silver bella I look forward to making many more of these.

Vintage buttons on cards.

I wish buttons were packaged like this. Each card is actually designed to create a button flower! Or not, if you don’t want to use them that way.
I’m also excited about these matchbooks I made for my business cards. Each card is perforated and rips out of the book.
The booth is just PURE FANTASY.
It’s a playhouse inspired by Hilary Knight’s illustrations in the book Eloise.
I hand-drew the inside and my mom painted pink stripes on the outside.
Everyone in my family helped me and it basically took up the entire garage for 3 weeks.
It has a little windowsill!
Here it is with about 1/5th of my stuff inside.
The back is cute. I hope it shows.
Last night we assembled the whole thing.
Party.
