holly’s flowers

This week I finished the flowers for Holly’s wedding, and her order was really fun because I made a pomander for the first time.
In the Middle Ages, pomanders were perfumed spheres that were hung around the neck or kept around the house to ward off disease. The meaning and use has evolved since then obviously, and now they are typically round balls that are completely covered in flowers!
Perfect for decoration, or for little flower girls….
For Holly’s bouquet, I made lots of big, fat flowers and buttons with special sparkle.
