the basket tote

I have done something I often said I would never, ever do.

I was seen in public carrying a wicker basket as a purse.
The same thing that horrified me as a teen when my mom did it.

I carried this basket bag at Big Omaha, stuffed with folders and files, and a few people asked me about it. It’s an ash wicker basket that I bought at Beth’s Flowers on Fourth, a small boutique in Sioux City, Iowa that doesn’t have a website. It’s big enough to carry all of my files and notebooks, plus a little clutch bag for my personal items.

I’m constantly surprised at how right my mom was about some things…
