video tutorial: no-sew notebook cover and a giveaway!!

Posted on 18. Sep, 2009 by in videos

Hey babes and dudes!

I made a video tutorial today showing how to make an easy no-sew notebook cover. It’s a lot like the notebook covers I have been making lately, except there is no sewing and no stress (and you get the same awesome results)! Plus there is a bonus appearance from my cat, Turbo.

If you like this project, leave a comment and give me some feedback, and if you want to try it out, I have re-written the list of materials you need below. So many of us have these materials around the house already and it’s such a fun easy project!

Materials Needed
…a notebook or planner to be covered (I used a Moleskine pocket notebook)
…Felt or other heavy fabric to cover the book. You’ll need an amount of fabric that is twice the area of the book cover. (9×12 pieces from craft stores work well for small books, but for larger ones I recommend buying yardage from Wool Felt Central.)
…A rotary cutter and ruler
Fabri-Tac glue from Beacon Adhesives (you can get this in most craft stores, even Wal-Mart!)
…Your own trims and embellishments (optional)

I actually have a bottle of Fabri-Tac glue to give away to one lucky reader. I really do love this stuff, and I’ve been using it exclusively for about five years. I use it in all of my bouquets and it is perfect for quick fixes–I use it like I would a glue gun. Yup. I love it. You will too.

I’m also going to throw in a few extra special fun destash-y surprises for the winner.

To win, leave a comment and tell me something I wanna hear. I’ll let the random number generator pick a winner next Wednesday.
