Merry Christmas and happy holidays, readers!
Here’s your present:

Just kidding.
We’re being hit with what will come to be known as the 2009 Omaha Christmas Blizzard–it’s snowing over an inch per hour and they don’t expect it to let up until tomorrow afternoon. We had plans on Christmas Eve to go to two family parties, but they both got canceled so we just came to my parents’ house early. Slumber party!

We tried to look cheesy laying in front of the Christmas tree.
What are your special holiday traditions? Tomorrow we are having a big brunch, and making homemade pizzas at night.
Dave and I wish you and your family and your loved ones and all of your favorite people a happy, happy weekend. I hope you stop to look around and enjoy who you’re with, where you are, just for that time. Pick a happy moment and take a mental snapshot and tell yourself to remember times like these. Regardless of what you are celebrating–Christmas, Hanukkah, solstice, or just a beautiful Friday night–it’s a good time to reflect on your good fortune. Think about how blessed you are, how much you have accomplished in the last 12 months and how far you have come.
