1. This spray-paint tv stand job by Jordan Ferney has me itching to renew and refresh some of the surfaces and colors in my home. I have resolved to spray paint my kitchen cabinets light grey and add little black knobs.

2. Eleven inspiring business card ideas from Oh, Hello Friend. I keep all of the business cards I get in a special binder and the coolest ones get kept in the front. Flipping through the pages really shows the great impact of these little cards on identity.

3. Also marveling at Jennifer Murphy’s basement studio…she makes me think my basement could, too, be so cute one day…maybe I should start with a blueprint like hers?

4. Lovers of offbeat and extraordinary weddings, you will love this Rollerskating Wedding posted over on Offbeat Bride…also congratulations to Ariel, the original OBB, on the birth of her first child Tavi!

5. My mom blogs about how we told my parents about their granddaughter.

6. My friend Cat and her hilarious Post-It Note comics make her one of the coolest people I know.

Ah I have studio envy looking at those. I dream of the day my boyfriend and I are able to have a studio each, he for his drums me for my sewing. At the moment it;s a stumble over boxes of fabric and equipment through my bedroom. lol That looks so organised!

I don’t understand when people don’t bother about business cards. This is something that you want people to remember you by, so when they’ve left you hey take out the card and remember who you were. If you have a boring sloppy business card what on earth does that say about you?

I can’t stress the importance of a good business card enough! I try an offer guidance when people come to me to have their cards printed. If you’re going to go letterpress, you should go all the way! It’s such an elegant medium, deserving of more than just a few lines of text.
