ten cool things.

1. About half of the packages ordered this month went out on Monday, and the rest are going tomorrow with the generous help of Mr. Lasertron. (And I slipped on those stairs twice! Rude!)
2. My super cute friend Sarah’s new shopping/fashion blog, What I Really-Really Want.

3. This adorable picture of her and her husband taken by Bill Sitzmann of Minorwhite.
3. Clara and Brandon’s fairytale wedding, found on Offbeat Bride

4. An excellent quote.
5. Jordan Ferney’s post about stocking stuffers for dudes is full of good ideas
6. In that vein, Shoestring Mag’s Top Ten Gifts for Kids That Inspire Creativity

7. The dining room of my dreams, via Sooner or Later.

8. I love Nikki McClure’s delicate and beautiful paper cuts. This journal recently arrived in the mail and I can’t wait to start filling it out–it’s really the baby book I’ve been looking for, that isn’t too dorky or precious.

9. Smile.
10. Loving local chick Mary Pattavina’s blog, Pretty Good Things. She also showed her hats at Omaha Fashion Week this year!
So a ruptured ovarian cyst is the most painful thing I have ever felt in my life. I feel pretty stoked for labor now. Hey, maybe I can handle it.

Meg, I just bought an Eric Carle baby journal for a friend. Check it out here:

UGH, I’ve had two ovarian cysts rupture and they are horrible! I thought something was really wrong with me the first time it happened so it must have been really scary to be pregnant and experience that pain.
Glad everything is looking good!

I’m glad to hear you are feeling better.
You’re poor mail man (or woman)! The delivery man that takes our office mail almost had a heart attack when he saw the 250 cards we mailed out last week – I can’t imagine what will happen to yours
I like that journal. I remember scouring book stores for a journal that was unique, and since I am a single parent, one that didn’t emphasize “Mommy & Daddy felt…” so much. I finally found an Eric Carle themed journal that stole my heart with the art work & simplicity. I’m bummed that I only have 2 more pages to fill out in it since my son is not a baby anymore. Guess it’s time to bust out the scrapbooking supplies and make my own! YAY!
ps. if you can handle cutting out tons of flowers, you can handle labor

I had one removed, that wasn’t fun either! I was born with mine though, it wasn’t going to get burst, or stop growing! Yikes..

I’m happy that you are feeling better now, I have had that happen to me (not while I was pregnant so I’m not sure if it was more intense for you) but I seriously felt like I was going to DIE! And I had already gone through childbirth, so to have a pain that was even more excruciating to me, that was huge. I believe you are prepared for just about anything now.
I love that book “the first 1000 days”, I bought it for my best friend when she announced she was having a baby, for the exact reasons that it wasn’t dorky or precious!
Take care of you! Happy Holidays Lasertron family!
