22 weeks: pictures from new year’s eve

On New Year’s Eve we went to Goo, a dance party hosted by The Slowdown (where we got married in 2007).
I was going to wear my favorite Karta dress and I was elated that it still fit me, but after I got my hair and makeup done and Dave came to help me zip it up, the zipper split.
While Dave worked hard googling “split zipper” and trying to fix it, I moped for half an hour or so because I couldn’t find anything else that fit and was remotely formal. But I think I did a good job of prettying up this big tent-y dress from Ryu. And luckily it was comfortable.

The theme was “masquerade” so we went as kitties.

Awe you two look cute. I hope you can fix your dress though
I did quiet and relaxed. We thought about hosting a party and I just didn’t want to do it this year. We ended up watching a lot of FarScape with the kids and my 9 year old can use “frell” in a sentence now…

My bf and I were celebrating our well-timed 2nd anniversary, so in the spirit of things we went to our favorite hometown bar where we first started dating. Their “overflow” room was cleared out and our roommate was DJing. My bf danced with me for the first time ever for HOURS & I didn’t even have to ask him to! It was the best anniversary present I could have hoped for.
Even pregnant & experiencing a wardrobe emergency you still looked way cuter than I did that night! I don’t know how you that “life” thing so gracefully.

split zippers are just the beginning sweet megan.
you look adorable though. and how sweet that he googled it for you. once my zipper split as i got out of the car at a work even for craig. (not pregnant) we both got back in the car. we went to a cleaners across the the street and he went in a asked if he could have a bunch of big safety pins. then we went into a gas station bathroom and he pinned me up. it was hysterical. i had brought a sweater so then i covered up my crazy hacked up dress with that.
our new years rocked.
the pineapple vodka was….very strong. and the ladies all enjoyed it very much. a little too much. or a lot. depending on which lady you are talking about .

so adorable! im all kinds of jealous
i visited new friends who live very rurally.
we packed down the snow in their considerably steep driveway, and had a sledding party! complete with fireworks, a campfire, and old rod stewart/billy joel blasting from the house.
i came down the hill on a crazy carpet with a sparkler in one hand and a beer in the other as we entered 2010.
spent the wee hours playing card games and laughing our heads off.
fantastic.
