today’s outfit and week 36

Posted on 11. Apr, 2010 by in baby, outfit

These photos are from yesterday even though I’m basically wearing the same thing today to my cousin’s bridal shower. (Tis the season–showers every weekend!)

Yesterday was Alice’s baby shower hosted by my friends Kristal and Sarah. Our friends were there, my parents came, and I loved having all the guys included too. We had a few co-ed wedding showers and I knew that Dave wanted to be included in Alice’s Welcome to the World party! It’s weird to hang out with all of our friends–people we have known since our teen years–and look around the room to see that we’re all married, owning homes, having kids…when did that happen?!

And check out that cool framed graphic behind me–I’ll explain that in my next post!

For those of you keeping track, I feel the same as last week, but much more swollen and puffy. When I wake up in the morning and get out of bed, my feet feel like they’re stones wrapped in pillows. I keep expecting my energy and stamina to decrease, but I still have about the same amount of hustle. I have been out and about less lately and staying home working most days. Dave has been running most of the errands. I think he’s got his own “nesting” feelings as he has also started several new home improvement projects and feels the inexplicable need to own an axe, a circular saw, and a gigantic ladder (great Father’s Day gifts, I say).

Megan I love how simple and cute Alice’s room is! So often baby rooms are so overdone and just throwing up baby-themed stuff. I am interested to see how you like your crib – it seems so handy for packing up and taking it places!

I used to see your posts on Weddingbee Pro, and since I hadn’t seen you for a while, I came to visit your website. I had no idea you were pregnant – congrats! I also wanted to tell you that you are the most stylish pregnant woman I’ve ever seen! So cute! Love the J. simpson shoes – I have them in blue!

Megan! Alice is ready to meet her fans! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, I really enjoy your writing about the pregnancy experience and how you and your husband are adjusting to it. Here’s the real question… how is Turbo dealing with it?

I can’t wait for my baby feline boy, Irwin, to meet his little human brother or sister whenever that day comes. I imagine his coveted belly spot ever expanding to the point where he no longer fits and how he’ll cope! I wonder how he’ll handle not getting his needed 18 hours of sleep and if he’ll try to groom the baby as he did with his little feline siblings.

Loving the prepreg posts and can’t wait for the new baby posts!

    Much Love and Luck!

thank you! I don’t think Turbo knows yet–and when Alice comes I have a feeling Turbo will mostly ignore her since he ignores us and anyone else who comes into our house. But we’ll see.

I hear stories about how pets react to pregnant owners, but I have to say that he hasn’t really been acting differently.
