Alice’s handmade rattle and the giveaway winner

My designer friend Peter Cales made this beautiful rattle for Alice out of canary wood and walnut. It’s filled with jasmine rice for the softest, most pleasant sound–almost like a rainstick.

I love natural toys like that–they are so much more meaningful and treasured. Especially when they are from a thoughtful friend like Peter.

I’ve been getting messages from some of you asking for more Alice posts. I’m still trying to keep this website relatively the same as its always been–a little bit of bridal stuff, crafty stuff, and fashion stuff, plus posts here and there about my personal life. If you want to read more about Babytron though, she has her own website now.

And congratulations to Liane who won the cute shoe giveaway last week! And thanks again to Fabbys for providing the shoes for that…they were so fun to embellish and I encourage you to pick up a pair and try your hand at it too.

    Where does this girl get her clothes? I couldn’t leave a comment on Alice’s website, but OMG that owl outfit is the best ever! She’s the best dressed girl around!

    Oh! How lovely! My grandpa made many wooden toys for us when we were young, and we loved the love that went into them! Alice is very lucky!
