dropshots from this weekend (and the giveaway winner!)

My friend Steve does a “dropshots” post on his blog every week where he downloads the photos showing what’s going on in his life…borrowing the term from him today!
First, congratulations to Tina C., winner of the cloth diaper giveaway sponsored by Baby, Naturally.

If you didn’t win I can’t encourage you enough to check out cloth diapering for yourself, or give a few diapers as a gift to someone you know who is expecting. Dave and I have just loved using them for Alice.
Get ready for the grip of pictures. I’m in the mood to overshare.

1. My baby’s daddy 2. A new headband 3. Details of the bouquet I’m working on now–so much cool family history represented by the heirlooms in this creation! 4. With Eric Downs giving a presentation about CAMP at the Omaha Chamber

1. Alice with her little 8-month-old buddy, Will 2. & 3. At the farmer’s market in Omaha–baked goods, jams, fruits, and veggies abound! 4. Nothing in the world is better than when your baby starts to smile a lot. 5. & 6. Har Mar Superstar performing at our friends Anna and Clark’s wedding on Saturday. May I just say that Omaha knows how to throw a party? 7. Before the damage 8. As we were leaving…so hard to leave a fun party but we missed our little beanbag! It was our first time away.
Tonight I’m dying felt and painting buttons for a new bouquet–very vintage-y and flea market and unlike anything I’ve ever done. I’m using a lot of new materials and trying to throw away all of my old “rules.” What would I make if I didn’t know how I “usually” do it?

It’s a simple concept and reminds me to look around at my life and find the good. I dig that you dug it enough to borrow it this week! Thanks for the love.

That wedding looks like a great time! Curious about your presentation, have you listed any of the info you give in it about working independently together on your blog?

I like that colorful bouquet with the sheriff’s badge. It reminds me of my bouquet with the brightness of it. Cute stuff.

Can’t wait to see how the new style bouquet turns out. Since you are making it, I am sure it will be amazing.
