headbands for sale + looking for an assistant

Posted on 18. Jun, 2010 by in business, craft

I finally got time today to upload 18 new headbands to my new online shop hosted by BigCartel. There are some you’ve seen and some you haven’t.

A lot of wonderful opportunities and projects have come my way this year, and I am finding my plate full with more work than I can take on myself. I need a part-time assistant (10-15 hours/week) who can help me manage my business and lighten my workload.

Main responsibilities include:
…helping to assemble kits
…helping me answer e-mail
…some light stitching on bouquet orders
…photographing merchandise
…writing product descriptions and uploading new listings in online store
…packaging orders for shipment
…reordering supplies
…helping to design and package promotional materials

Sometimes you might have to:
…help manage and promote the Princess Lasertron by Dress Forms dress line (selecting models, packaging press releases, assembling hang tags on garments)
…help as needed with the organization/management of CAMP Coworking
…send press releases, samples, and copy to media outlets (blogs, magazines, etc)
…hold my baby

Ideal candidates should:
…be self-motivated
…have flexible hours
…love design and branding
…posses organizational skills
…have reliable transportation
…live in the Omaha area
…vibe well

What I can offer you:
…$10/hour
…an amazingly creative and collaborative work atmosphere
…any information you could want to know about blogging and marketing
…invitations to fun parties and events
…lunch and dinner treats
…access to all of my secret sources

To apply, please e-mail me at meg@princesslasertron.com and tell me about yourself and your qualifications. I’ll do my best to respond in the next week.

In closing, here is an Alice. (And Eric, at camp. Do you like the yellow?)

Hey! First of all, I wish I lived near you, I would soo take the job! I emailed you a while back and didn’t get a reply. I think I may have sent it to the wrong address so I thought I’d try this. I am planning a wedding for next May. I was really wanting to order one of your flower bouquet kits for my wedding and I have the money now to order it. I just can’t find a place on the site anymore to order one. If you could please get back with me and let me know if I can purchase a kit. My colors are very pale yellow and pale green. Thanks! =)

I too find myself wishing I lived in Omaha. Actually, this is not the first time I have wished to live in Omaha. On what can only be described as an unexpected, road rally thru all kinds of wonderous places, I found myself in Omaha for lunch, and I fell in love.

    I love yellow!

There is nothing better to see than a man holding someone else’s kid.

I would love be your assistant, but I don’t know how my husband would react to me driving into Omaha. What a great experience for anyone to take up. It’s the evolution of your business. I think you will do a great job being a boss.

“You’re no good unless you are a good assistant; and if you are, you’re too good to be an assistant.” ~Martin H. Fischer

My last boss gave me a card with that inside of it when I turned in my 2 weeks. Having been a personal assistant for the past 4 years, I would love to be your faithful follower & dirty work doer if you’d consider letting me work from home… in Idaho. :) Best of luck to finding a faithful followerer.

Love the headbands! The blue and orange one would go great with my Boise State merch come college football season!

And I do love the yellow at CAMP almost as much as I love how cute Alice is.

Delegation was my favorite trick learned. :) But it will make you re-learn everything also in the sense that it will not be done ultra-super-perfect like you do. hardest part of delegation and you will be awesome at it!!!

p.s. in like ten years from now when i do get a boy and get married, i require only ms. lasertron amazingness on my bouquet! :D

I am pretty nervous! I am a bad boss (fair warning, everyone)…I think sometimes I mistake being independent from being a leader. I really don’t like telling people what to do–time to start practicing I guess!
