abby’s flowers

Posted on 05. Jul, 2010 by in bouquets

Finishing Abby’s flowers was like a marathon–I went to my parents’ house every day last week and they helped me with Alice while I camped out on the armchair and cranked out petals and stitches. While I was working on them, I asked myself “what would I make if I didn’t know how I usually made these?” I wanted to break the mold I have been using over and over again and really enjoy the work. Not restrain myself. Because of that, this order was especially fun and will always be memorable to me.

I used a lot of other textiles, dye, and paint.

Abby ordered posie bouquets for her bridesmaids, and a really big gorgeous embroidered bouquet for herself.

    Hey Megan!
I’m the photographer from Abby’s wedding! You did such a wonderful job on not only the bridal bouquet and the bm’s bouquets, but the boutonniere too! I’m showing them on my blog tomorrow at 7am CST. Feel free to check it out, and take the pictures for your own blog if you wish! http://www.benfieldphotography.blogspot.com

Yes these are mine and I might be biased but I too think they are so incredibly amazing!!
Meg is so intuitive and she created these masterpieces with just a few inspiring textiles, a picture, and a few words. So happy with them and with her business model!
