felt flower kits: pamela shows us how it’s done!

Posted on 25. Jul, 2010 by in craft

Several months ago I received an order from Pamela for nine kits to make felt flower bouquets. I always wondered how that huge project turned out, and when she tagged me in some Facebook pictures of her process I was so impressed as I looked at photo after photo. From the unboxing (I love that she cared.) to the finished bouquets, Pamela shares each step along the way. From her Facebook account:

1. I had to pack these in the hugest box–I usually use white square boxes but I shipped Pamela’s nine kits in one of the gigantic boxes used to ship bolts of fabric. 2. & 3. A note and some extra goodies. I try to include something special in each package, whether it’s some extra supplies, some destash-y surprises, or another handmade gift. 4. Each box gets a signature 4” double-faced black satin ribbon. 5. Everything gets a little jostled in transit. 6. & 7. Sorting out all of the materials. 8. The full spread. 9. Some extra goodies.

…and some pictures of the awesome work Pamela did.
See?
You could do that.
What if they were in your favorite colors? White and cream and tan? Red and turquoise? Pastels?
What else do you have to work on while you watch tv?

Thank you all for your comments on the kit giveaway post.
I am lucky to have readers like you.
You make me feel so happy and understood and “seen.”

I am lucky enough to be one of the bridesmaids from this wedding, as well as to be the mother of the flower girl and ring bearer! These are flowers that I am PROUD (and want) to keep from being in a wedding. Also, we got AMAZING compliments as we walked down the street from the hotel to the ceremony. Thanks for having your business to help my one of my BFF’s wedding the day she had dreamed.

These are fabulous! You must feel like a proud Mama :)

Congrats on taking DIY to a new level Megan. I myself have tried my hand and making my own felt flowers (via your video) but it was a big fat fail. Now that I have one of your kits, my very slow progress is MUCH better :) You are a class act entrepreneur.

WOW…What wonderful and gorgeous felt bouquets. She did a wonderful job. I love the step by step photo so that you can see the flowers BLOOM! I do have one question, I wondered as I was looking through the photos of you putting the kits together, how do you cut all the flower parts out of the felt? Each one by hand or some kind of a die cutter?

I have so loved stopping by your blog to see the awesome work you do and thank you for sharing them with us.
