melissa’s flowers
Posted on 10. Aug, 2010 by Princess Lasertron in bouquets
Here are some pictures of a bouquet I just finished for Melissa Condotta, inspired by french flea markets, vintage fabric, and the handmade aesthetic.

Honestly, these are my favorite colors to work with. That’s a question I get pretty often–”what is your favorite color combination?” For bouquets, I honestly just love whites. Shades of white, ivory, antiqued browns and greens. I think it looks valuable, it hides flaws, it creates the perfect background for the unique buttons and pieces centered in each bloom, and it really represents that vintage aesthetic that so many of my customers want.

I absolutely can’t wait to see how this wedding comes together with all of Melissa’s creative planning. The pro pics are going to be mindblowing I’m sure!

I really like the way that you photograph your work. I think the way your work is lit and it’s placement is meant to look spontaneous, but you totally know what you’re doing, and it shows. Not that your love, talent, and attention to detail aren’t enough but I’m sure your photography has helped you sell many an order. Do you just use natural lighting around the studio or is there an added element?

Yes! I love the felt leaves on the boutonnieres. It just pulls it together so nicely.
