today’s outfit!

It’s weird doing a post now without having to copy/paste the formatting.
But it’s so freeing. It’s like I didn’t realize how easy I had it before the big Radvent series when I could just type anything without working so hard to follow a theme.
Anyway, I’m doing it up today with a statement gold pleated skirt and necklace! I dressed it down a little bit with a slouchy black t-shirt and wore my red coat because I like to wear more than one bold color at once.

The skirt also tends to wrinkle a bit so styling it casually–minimal makeup, undone hair, tee top–makes the wrinkles that come out through the day look less like a mistake. And the wedge shoe is easy to walk in all day.

I wore this while running errands around Omaha! I got fitted for two new bras (with my husband’s Christmas money…thanks in-laws!), used the change to pick up a simple new dress that REALLY made me happy, and worked all night with my friend Eric on an upcoming talk we are doing at a local design conference called Meet the Pros!

What a lovely outfit. I love your Fossil necklace, I was admiring it a couple of weeks ago at Macy’s. Do you think this necklace would go with many different outfits? I am still trying to decide if I want to purchase it.

Can you use starch on that skirt? I sometimes use spray starch on structured skirts like that to avoid the wrinkles and keep the pleats crisp. Might be worth a shot so you could wear the skirt with even MORE top options

Oh my gosh, you have no idea how excited I am to see that we have the same skirt!! I love your fashion choices, but I often don’t have access to the same stores/brands as you (I’m in Ottawa, Canada), so this just made my day! I love the way you pulled the look together. Very cute!
