For Alex, we did something completely different. She sent us a photo of a hydrangea bouquet that she had taken inspiration for her wedding colors from and I decided to try my hand at recreating the bouquet with felt flowers and pearls. Here is the result.
We just had to re-engineer the design for the posie flowers, reshaping the petals and making the flowers smaller. Instead of button centers we used tiny vintage pearls from some antique jewelry.
Alex sent a few of her own blingy buttons and brooches to mix into the center of her bouquet.
Each bouquet is made with 5 to 6 bunches of 20-30 tiny flowers of the same color bound together to look more like natural stems of hydrangeas.
We also made her some larger matching brooch pins for her parents and friends.
