Carrie’s jelly belly and vintage lace wedding bouquet

I have seen some unusual and unique inspiration boards but I must say that this was the first time I ever received a bag of jelly beans from which to pull color inspiration. It was so fun to work with that kind of creativity.

Carrie mailed me lots of goodies to use in her flowers–a handkerchief, a locket and pin, and her mother’s actual wedding dress that I was able to pull elements from to integrate into her beautiful bouquet. I snipped the white fabric-covered buttons from the back of the dress and the pearly lace trim from the collar and sleeves and coiled them into lace rosettes.

Finally, we also put together a hair comb for her and boutonniere for Carrie’s fiance.

Curious, do you ever feel like you are giving away a small piece of your heart when you ship off a piece like this. It is obvious that you put so much passion and love into your work.
