amber and ryan’s flowers

Posted on 19. May, 2011 by in bouquets

For a long time, I have wanted to work with different shapes in our bouquets, and with Amber’s bridal order we did just that. Using my favorite decorative scissors I cut the petals out layer by layer, taking inspiration from prize ribbon and award shapes (I am really into those lately, if you couldn’t tell). We used 100% wool felt in these beautiful jewel tones and our signature vintage buttons.

I was a little nervous that Amber wouldn’t be amenable to the unusual shape, but she loved them. I can’t wait to see her professional pictures.

Congratulations Amber and Ryan!

I really love the combination of colors, layers and shapes. The award ribbon rosette shape is super-gorgeous and the entire presentation looks super-lush with the gorgeous cobalt + jewel colors.
