felt flower bouquet for cindy’s wedding

My girls and I finished the bouquet and boutonnieres for Cindy’s wedding on our super productive lake retreat last week, and today I’m dropping the big square white box off at UPS to send it all on its way! Cindy is one of our French brides, from the city of Narbonne. Anyway, check out the goods!

In these photos, the handle isn’t yet wrapped. I always save that for the very last step, because if a bride wants to make any changes to the bouquet after she sees the initial photos, it is easier to edit the work before it’s all bound in silk ribbon. It also gives the customer a chance to give feedback about the color options for the ribbon–I normally do white or cream, but we have also done teal, brown, purple, we’ve used lace, we’ve done stripes, and we’ve even done criss-crossing patterns to mimic the corset of the bride’s gown.

I used a lot of buttons sourced from Moscow and Milan in Cindy’s order, in addition to our usual vintage buttons found in antique stores around Nebraska and Iowa.

Cindy originally asked for her bouquet to be only chocolate brown and teal, but I advised that adding the white posies was a good decision because it brought lightness to the bouquet and connected it with her dress and decor. (And her future husband who will be in an all-white suit!)

Ack! I am so excited for Cindy – Narbonne is where we eloped!
Love these colors too, and the different style of petals. Keep rocking girl!
