Ellie’s embroidered felt flower bridal bouquet

Posted on 20. Jul, 2011 by in bouquets

Ellie is a wonderful woman who I have been in close contact with over the last few months as she’s been on bedrest with her little daughter who is due in August. She and her fiance Merritt are planning a vintage-y heirloom-inspired wedding for next year, but are taking off for the courthouse this month! Although we are doing a complete bridal order for Ellie’s big fancy wedding, she wanted to be able to hold her bouquet while she married her husband Merritt in their small courthouse ceremony. Ah, love!

The color inspiration Ellie gave me was “Necco wafer,” which also gave me the idea for the stripe motif on the handle that we created with pearl-headed pins and vintage seam binding.

Congratulations Ellie, Merritt, and baby bean! You are off on such an amazing journey together.

    Megan,
Do you hand embroider every detail, or do you use an embroidery machine sometimes?
