1. Today the new issue of Wedding Essentials is coming out–I love what editor Chris Christen has done with the magazine in the last few years, bringing in more beautiful photographs and using more creative elements like really graphic typefaces. My assistant (and fellow OFW designer) Emma Erickson and I are both featured in this issue–I’m stopping by the World Herald on my way to CAMP to pick some copies up for our office!

2. North Downtown Association meeting. Talking about how the College World Series went. We’ll probably discuss the flooding outlook too. Waah.

3. The New Timey Radio Hour, founded and produced by my other assistant Shannon Jaxies and her husband Greg, is recording their newest podcasts–radio plays This is the Sound and Fat Girlfriend. They will be presented and recorded live at the Blue Barn Theater downtown and the suggested donation is $5.

Go to this event and watch your first radio play! You know I love radio, and if you listen to podcasts, this will be right up your alley too. Get to be part of a live podcast recording!

4. I have to compile a list of addresses for my two fashion shows and a few fundraisers coming up this month. This is so hard–if you are local and you want to go, feel free to e-mail me your address!

1. At 10am I’m going with my models Caitlin Hochwender and Nicole Keimig, and stylist Rebecca Forsyth to a press event for Omaha Fashion Week. Photoshoots and interviews!

2. Alice is going to the zoo.

3. Meeting with a local chef about doing some desserts for my secret show.

4. Someone’s coming to CAMP to look into becoming a new full-time tenant.

1. Ordering black silk chiffon.

2. Making invitations with our graphic design intern, Allie, for an upcoming fundraiser for the Nebraska Aids Project. It’s a drag show!

1. Photoshoot downtown with Greg Higgins, a photographer I haven’t worked with before.

2. Alice goes to Grandma Camp.

1. Our ONE-YEAR CAMPAVERSARY.
One year ago we moved into CAMP.
It might be the biggest risk I have ever taken.

2. Kicking the butts of my co-organizers of Barcamp Omaha. It’s September 9th and 10th this year and we gotta get our ticket sales going.
