I just got back from a party at Nomad Lounge where the cover of the next issue of Omaha Fashion Magazine was unveiled, and I was shocked to see my dresses and the photo from my shoot with Daniel Muller and Esoteric Velvet right there all lit up! I won the contest for the cover shot, and I am just on cloud nine. I will share more photos from that shoot throughout the week–and there is a LOT of content to share this week–but first I want to take you all back and visit our Secret Preview show that we hosted last week!

Every year before the launch of our line at Omaha Fashion Week, I host a secret preview show for press, friends, and local VIPs. It’s a great chance for our friends and family to get an exclusive preview of the collection. It’s a chance for my models and stylists to do a low-pressure run-through. And it’s an opportunity for media to get a good look at each piece and interact with the collection before the formal launch during OFW. It’s as much of a practice run for Team Lasertron as it is a press opportunity for the local media and a way to build even more anticipation for our OFW show.

This year’s show was at House of Loom, Omaha’s hottest new lounge and nightclub. I have a long list of thank yous for this party–Bliss Bakery in the old market for providing snacks, Brent Crampton for being our amazing dj and bringing in the chill vibe, all of the models and stylists and everyone who came to pack the house. Look at these photos! My friends Jenny and Emma took them as we got ready and finally put on our show at Loom last Wednesday. The annual secret show.

We did this show like private fashion shows in the fashion houses of yesteryear…no runway, just a parade around, stopping at each grouping of furniture and pausing for cameras. It was a pretty good-sized crowd but felt so intimate.
