Photos from Almudena and Quique’s beautiful and casual Spain wedding

What I love about being in the business of weddings, and unions, and love, is the positivity and appreciation for detail and aesthetics that my customers have. It’s so important to me that they feel appreciated, valued, and taken care of. So when Almudena e-mailed me, I just felt honored for a client to put so much trust into me. She was my first bride to wear our Jamie Dress in her wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect for their style.

This is a beautiful couple and a great story. Almudena and Quique were married July 9th this year at Zarzuela del Monte in Guadalajara, Spain. When they got married they had been together 26 years–since their teens–and have two children together aged 10 and 8. Almudena told me that the best part of their wedding was being able to share the moment with their children. “The best was for them,” she said, “because they were really enthusiastic for being at the wedding of their parents.”

“For everybody it was the last news from us they could expect so all that made that day so special.”

I love that Almudena and Quique got married later in their relationship, with years of true love behind them and such a strong foundation of partnership, friendship, and respect that not all husband-and-wife relationships begin with, really. And as adults, you can almost feel free of obligation to do anything other than what perfectly represents you as a couple, or as a family.

Almudena and Quique threw the quintessential wedding party–they rode down the aisle on a Harley, were joined in marriage surrounded by their friends and family who they’ve known for years. After that, an outdoor barbecue and celebrations all night into the next morning, followed by a pool party the next day! I admit, that’s one wedding I would love to attend!

Congratulations again, Almudena, Quique, and your family. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together and thank you so sincerely for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful celebration of your love.
