megan, sarah, and alice go to the beach

Posted on 16. Jul, 2012 by in at the office

Earlier this week, my friend Sarah and I boated out to a beach in Okoboji, Iowa for a work + relaxation retreat. Alice came too.

I’ve got a post brewing about Hello Holiday, the e-commerce company I co-founded with Sarah. It’s high time for me to explain all that–how it came about, what that means for Princess Lasertron, when we’re launching, and why you’re going to love it. I’ve got a lot of posts to make. I’ve got a lot of explaining to do.

Last week I was in Portland, Oregon for Chris Guillebeau’s World Domination Summit, then I took the red-eye home and jumped right into a car with Sarah to head up to the lake to work. If there’s one thing I know about myself, forced relaxation makes me want to work more–particularly when it’s at a conference full of makers and do-ers who are reminding you at every turn that you have things to be making and stuff to be doing. I have a lot to write about the World Domination Summit. It was such a great privilege to be able to go.

And then when I got home I got really sick for about a week. Now I’m getting over it, but Alice is sick.

In any case, I have a lot to say and I am eager to say it. In the last few weeks I’ve been doing Hello Holiday work, Princess Lasertron work, planning events, housework, kidwork, and I haven’t felt like writing. So I didn’t make myself. But now I feel like it again and I’m happy to let it come back.

Thanks for reading. Now, babes in the sun.
