When life gives me lemons, I tend to just eat the lemons, suck it up, and move on, looking toward sweeter fruits of my efforts. But when life gets a little bananas? I wear them on my sleeve.
I work in beautiful downtown Benson, right above my favorite bar and one of the best restaurants in Omaha–Krug Park (order the gin fizz) and Lot 2 (I get flatbread and fries). It’s a little bit of a windy day for a heat-set hairdo, but as Sarah reminded me, it always cheers me up to take ten minutes and relax in some rollers. There’s a little comfort in getting dressed every day, no matter what I’m wearing. Presenting something to the world. And maybe projecting the positivity that I wish to manifest in my life.
