• This week I’m revisiting a 2008 article from the New York Times–101 20-minute Dishes for Inspired Picnics.
• My days of using stick-on labels are done now that I have seen these affordable rubber address stamps by Paperwink. There are so many ideas on this site–I can see how their custom labels, cards, invitations, and stationery could easily help you brand your wedding.
• I love this vintage necklace that was listed today in one of my favorite online stores, Thrush Vintage. I wonder what I’d keep in it.
• Step-by-step guide to make little birds on Peonies and Polariods. So inspiring–I want an entire family of these!
• What is twitter? A quick rundown from Hacker Journalist. Read this tutorial and then add me to your friends page–@lasertron!
• Poppytalk Handmade is a monthly online street market created to showcase handmade goods. It’s not only fun to browse, but it’s a great way to discover emerging design talent from around the world.

• Creature Comforts is a design blog with tons of inspiring resources and photos.
• I’m experimenting with designing my own fabric on Spoonflower, a website that allows users to print their own fabric! You can also browse through other users’ designs, and there are some really gorgeous ones. This one is my favorite because when it’s repeated, it looks like wood plaid!
• If you love the shabby chic aesthetic, you’ll love Alice B. Gardens on etsy. I’m in love with this particular print:
• A creative use of sparklers at Something’s Hiding In Here….
• I lost a lot of time today shopping in Bell’ochio’s online store. I picked out some vintage ribbon and sewing notions–the beauty of supplies would put Martha’s own craft room to shame! I’m still coveting all of the fabulous scissors. (I think I have a scissor addiction.)
• A controversial tribute to Michael Jackson over on The Dieline…personally, I feel it’s a well-executed design and clever double entendre!
• One of my favorite designers, Jordan Ferney, does it again–a purple picnic complete with gorgeous labels and packaging.

• Star Wars: The Baroque Version. This made my day!!
• My latest go-to site for design inspiration, Mary Ruffle, who posts beautiful photos every day like these:
• Awesome DIY idea: You know all those old concert tees you have lying around? Repurpose them as sleep sacks for your baby!
• Fifi Lapin, the world’s most stylish bunny
• Pictures from Kylie Minogue’s ad campaign for Tous, shot by photographer Ellen Von Unwerth. This one is on my inspiration board right now!

• Super cute design freebies from iDiY, via Offbeat Bride. My favorites are these simple red circles–great for using on party favors or to label things around the house.
• The 3/50 Project: Pick three local businesses that you’d hate to see close and spend $50.00 at each. Found at Nubby Twiglet. I’d happily spend $50 at local boutique Scout Dry Goods & Trade, Wohlner’s grocery store, and Pulp paper gallery. Which three businesses would you support in your community?
• The 21 biggest mistakes made by bloggers
• The space I am thinking about renting to use as office/workshop space. It’d be great to have a home base for my employees that isn’t my third bedroom, and it’d be great to have a space to teach workshops and host events. Having my house back would also be a plus. Thoughts?
• Etsy.com is now offering third-party developers the chance to create new programs and applications for etsy sellers. It’s about time!!
• Cool alternative crocheted flower bouquets by Petal to the Metal, featured on Craftzine. This is sooooo becoming a trend!
• Great inspirational photos for an engagement shoot or any other couples photoshoot at Style Me Pretty

an old fashioned soda bar, and a cool new toy

I love Jordan Ferney’s post over at Project Wedding about putting together a gourmet old-fashioned soda bar for your next wedding or party.
I’d love to have this party with a smartly-dressed bartender using one of my favorite new toys–the BottleBob Bottle Cap Punch–which puts a perfect straw hole in the top of soda bottle!
Adding some beer to that spread wouldn’t hurt either.
