In this video, I’m making the traditional-style bouts that I first designed in the very beginning of Princess Lasertron, and they’re still the best seller. I have several styles that I love making and you can browse through the styles in this post from last year!

(here’s what I was working on in the video!)

Do you have any questions about how to make boutonnieres for your wedding party? (They’re great for prom too!)

I made a video tutorial showing how to make an easy folder to store all of your valentines in! There are lots of variations on the basic project I will show you which I outline in the video. I think these folders will make great gifts for your friends, or you can sit down with your kids and make a bunch of little ones for their classmates! Plus there is a bonus appearance from my dog, Scout.

If you like this project, leave a comment and give me some feedback, and if you want to try it out, I have re-written the list of materials you need below. So many of us have these materials around the house already and it’s such a fun easy project!

Materials Needed:
…three 10×6” pieces of decorative paper or cardstock (two-sided is best)
…five 10×3” pieces of decorative paper (one-sided is fine)
…Zip Dry paper glue from Beacon Adhesives (you can get this at most craft stores)
…your own favorite embellishments and decorative elements (I used Japanese masking tapes, butcher’s twine, and markers for most of mine)
…a hole punch and some twine OR a sewing machine (to bind the folder)

I put together a sweet little package of everything you need to make the Valentine’s Day folder, including a brand new bottle Zip Dry. I really do love this glue and it’s all I’ve been using for paper for about four years.

I’m also going to throw in a few extra special fun destash-y surprises for the winner.

To win, leave a comment below and tell me something I wanna hear. I’ll let the random number generator pick a winner this Friday. This is open to international readers, so go for it!

Materials Needed
…a notebook or planner to be covered (I used a Moleskine pocket notebook)
…Felt or other heavy fabric to cover the book.

Yesterday I shared some photos of Leah’s bridal bouquet that I created using big felt posies, grey and white mother of pearl buttons, and some special painted buttons in bright shades of teal and turquoise.

Teal, light pink, and certain shades of blue and green are highly sought-after colors by my clients, and the high demand comes with a high price. To avoid passing the cost on to my customers, sometimes I carefully paint plain buttons to match the customer’s color palette, and when done right, no one can tell the difference. In this video I show you how to save money by painting your own plain, boring buttons to achieve the same effect!

I think today is the last day to enter…

You guys have been crazy supportive so far and I think I might actually have a shot at this!
